At MACORP, safety is an integral part of our company’s culture and values. This certification underscores the lab’s role in supporting predictive maintenance through cutting-edge oil analysis. “Analyzing oil samples allows for early detection of potential issues in machinery components, ultimately triggering preventative measures that result in reduced downtime, optimized performance, and extended equipment life,” says Jamarillo.
The certification process involved a comprehensive audit by the GNBS, assessing the lab’s quality management systems, technical accuracy, and customer service standards. The GYS 170:2021 standard, aligned with the international ISO/IEC 17025 framework, guarantees excellence in testing services.
Jamarillo expressed gratitude to the lab and quality teams, along with the executives and the wider MACORP team for supporting this achievement.
Meanwhile, Keon Rankin, Head of Certification Services at GNBS, congratulated MACORP and commended the company’s dedication to laboratory quality and certification. He encouraged continued adherence to the standard to ensure ongoing compliance.
This milestone firmly establishes MACORP’s SOS Lab as a leader in laboratory services across Guyana, strengthening its reputation as a trusted partner to key sectors, including Mining, Marine and Oil and Gas, Construction, Agriculture, and Power Generation. The GYS 170 certification also demonstrates the lab’s alignment with national development goals and global quality standards.
MACORP extends sincere gratitude to GNBS for its thorough evaluation process and to its clients for their continued confidence and support. The company remains committed to continuously enhancing its services, improving customer experience, and expanding its offerings, with a focus on innovative solutions for predictive maintenance.
